Cricket South Africa announced that Dane van Niekerk and Jordan Hermann will not play any further part in the tour of New Zealand for the Proteas Women's and Men's sides, respectively.

Van Niekerk's injury was announced before the start of the second T20 between South Africa and New Zealand, even though she sustained the injury to her right calf a day before the start of the first match. Scans showed she would not recover in time for this tour, so she will undergo rehabilitation.

Hermann, who played his debut T20 match with his brother, Rubin Hermann, sustained a hamstring injury while fielding in the match. Scans revealed that he has a grade two tear, meaning he will be on the sidelines for a minimum of four weeks.

Van Niekerk's replacement was announced to be the Fidelity Titans captain, Anneke Bosch, and Hermann's replacement had not been announced by CSA. Wiaan Mulder ended up replacing him in the second T20 match that South Africa lost by seven wickets.
