The Delhi Capitals secured their third victory of the season by defeating the Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 6 wickets with one ball to spare. This win propelled the Capitals to fifth position, while the Royals remain second.

After electing to bat first, the Royals posted a below-par score of 175 for 8 in their 20 overs. Phil Salt, the Barbados-born batter, anchored the Royals' innings with a 38-ball 63. However, Kuldeep Yadav outsmarted him in the 11th over, disrupting the Royals' momentum.

Kuldeep Yadav finished with 2 wickets, as did the Capitals' captain, Axar Patel. South African pacer Lungi Ngidi was also key, claiming 2 wickets, including the crucial dismissal of Virat Kohli in the sixth over. Ngidi's second victim was Jitesh Sharma.

The Capitals had a shaky start to their chase, losing 3 wickets in the first 3 overs. A 67-run partnership between KL Rahul (57) and Tristan Stubbs initiated the Capitals' recovery. Following Rahul's dismissal, Patel (26) came to the crease, but his innings was cut short by an injury, leaving the Capitals needing 44 runs from 24 balls.

The South African pair of David Miller and Stubbs ultimately guided the Capitals to victory with one ball remaining. A late scare saw them needing 15 runs from the final 6 balls. After the first two balls yielded only 2 runs, Miller struck two consecutive sixes against Romario Sheppard, leaving just 1 run required from the final 2 balls. Miller then sealed the win with a four off the penultimate ball. Stubbs finished unbeaten on 60, and Miller remained not out on 22.
