The YesPlay Pro20 kicked off with a double-header at SuperSport Park in Tshwane, with the Momentum Multiply Titans defeating the YesPlay Western Province Cobras by five wickets. In the earlier match, North West Dragons secured a seven-wicket victory over the Dafabet Warriors.

Chasing 187, the Titans got off to a flying start as new recruits Sinethemba Qeshile and Lues du Plooy put together a dominant opening partnership of 121 from just 44 balls.

Du Plooy was the first wicket to fall, courtesy of Raeeq Daniels, but by then the damage had already been done. The Titans debutant smashed 77 from just 27 balls at a strike rate of 285.19, with his innings including five fours and eight sixes.

His fellow debutant Qeshile was not to be outshone, scoring 59 from 25 balls at a strike rate of 236. Both openers fell to Daniels, who also claimed the wicket of Dewald Brevis for four.

Returning from national duty, Eathan Bosch made a solid debut for the Titans, finishing unbeaten on 22 from 10 balls to help his side reach the target with 31 balls remaining.

Daniels and Tshepo Moreki were the only wicket-takers for the Cobras, claiming three and two wickets respectively.

Earlier, the Cobras posted 186 for four from their 20 overs after also making a strong start. Valentine Kitime and Eddie Moore put together an opening partnership of 63 before 37-year-old Junior Dala broke through, removing Kitime for 34.

Moore was then joined by Joshua van Heerden, with the pair adding 108 from just 57 balls. Van Heerden struck 64 from 37 balls before becoming the first of Dayyaan Galiem's two victims in the innings.

Moore fell to Bosch two balls later for 64, leaving the Cobras on 171 for three with just 11 balls remaining. The visitors eventually finished on 186 for four, but it was not enough as the Titans chased down the target with 31 balls to spare.

In the earlier match, North West Dragons defeated Dafabet Warriors by seven wickets, with Rubin Hermann top-scoring with 55 from 31 balls.
